A Costa Mesa man is being charged with violating a city ordinance that prohibits sex offenders from entering city parks, prosecutors said Monday.

Let me get this straight… for the actual crime, he receives probation and not a day of jail. Now, 5 years later, he is in jail, looking at 6 months – for the same offense. What a farce this has become… a ‘justice’ system to be proud of.
So, we have another DA frothing at the mouth to put another registrant behind bars for doing absolutely nothing threatening whatsoever, not to mention the huge waste of public resources that could be channeled elsewhere for the public good. This is utterly ludicrous and infuriating. The notion that we have a justice system is pure fiction.
Does anyone wonder why he was sleeping there? maybe no other place to go?
When I hear stories like this, I wonder what would happen if a few hundred sex offenders in OC were each to walk into a OC park, sit down, and call the police. Would the police arrest all of them? Would they all go to jail? What would the news media say about 200 sex offenders having a “sit in” and the police and courts spending hundreds of thousands of dollars to prosecute them?
